Rural project coordination
I’ll check the existing floor with you and explain what needs attention before pricing the work.
I install, refinish, and repair hardwood floors. Tell me what you have and what you’d like to change.
Townsend and Broadwater County homes range from in-town spaces to rural properties. We plan around the substrate, material delivery, acclimation, and household schedule, then carry the work through installation or refinishing and final care guidance.
I install solid and engineered hardwood, sand and refinish existing floors, replace damaged boards, and lace new flooring into old. If the floor only needs a buff and coat, I’ll tell you.
You’ll work directly with me, Sterling. I’ll walk the floor with you, put the scope and price in writing, and keep you updated as the work moves along.

We’ll work through the material, layout, and finish choices before work starts.
I check moisture conditions and discuss acclimation before installation. We’ll also cover how to care for the floor through seasonal changes.
Installation: Subfloor readiness, moisture conditions, acclimation, layout, fastening, vents, thresholds, and transitions are addressed as one system.
Refinishing: The floor is inspected for remaining sanding depth, damage, previous coatings, and repairs before stain and finish decisions are made.
Repair and restoration: Species, width, grade, milling, and surrounding color are considered when replacing boards or connecting new hardwood to an existing floor.
Maintenance: When the existing finish is compatible and the wear has not reached bare wood, a buff and coat may renew protection without a complete sanding.
Often, yes. The answer depends on the wood thickness, structural condition, damage, old coatings, and how many times the floor has already been sanded. A walkthrough is the best way to determine what is worth preserving.
Yes. Natural, stained, matte, satin, oil-based, and water-based systems can be considered. Samples and the home’s lighting help narrow down a color and sheen that work with the wood.
Use the estimate form to send the project location, rough square footage, and what you want changed. I’ll follow up to talk through the floor and timing.

Send the location, a rough size, and what you want done. I’ll get back to you to talk through the work.
