Hardwood flooring in Three Forks.

I install, refinish, and repair hardwood floors. Tell me what you have and what you’d like to change.

Your local floor project

Let’s see what your floor needs.

Three Forks projects often require practical planning around travel, schedules, and changing Montana conditions. We establish the floor’s condition and project scope early, then recommend whether installation, full refinishing, localized repair, or a maintenance coat makes sense.

I install solid and engineered hardwood, sand and refinish existing floors, replace damaged boards, and lace new flooring into old. If the floor only needs a buff and coat, I’ll tell you.

You’ll work directly with me, Sterling. I’ll walk the floor with you, put the scope and price in writing, and keep you updated as the work moves along.

Services in Three Forks

From the first board to the last coat.

Installation: Subfloor readiness, moisture conditions, acclimation, layout, fastening, vents, thresholds, and transitions are addressed as one system.

Refinishing: The floor is inspected for remaining sanding depth, damage, previous coatings, and repairs before stain and finish decisions are made.

Repair and restoration: Species, width, grade, milling, and surrounding color are considered when replacing boards or connecting new hardwood to an existing floor.

Maintenance: When the existing finish is compatible and the wear has not reached bare wood, a buff and coat may renew protection without a complete sanding.

Questions homeowners ask

Planning a hardwood project in Three Forks.

Can an existing floor be saved?

Often, yes. The answer depends on the wood thickness, structural condition, damage, old coatings, and how many times the floor has already been sanded. A walkthrough is the best way to determine what is worth preserving.

Do you provide stain options?

Yes. Natural, stained, matte, satin, oil-based, and water-based systems can be considered. Samples and the home’s lighting help narrow down a color and sheen that work with the wood.

How do I get an estimate?

Use the estimate form to send the project location, rough square footage, and what you want changed. I’ll follow up to talk through the floor and timing.
